Profile

Socheat Chea has been practicing immigration law in his own firm since 1992 and received national prominence in 2000. He has appeared on A&E's Investigative Reports and on local newscasts, and several of his cases have appeared in national newspapers including The New York Times and The Washington Post. He is the past Chair of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He is the past Chair of the Immigration Law Section for the State Bar of Georgia. He has served on AILA national committees dealing with various immigration issues. Since 1998, he has been a faculty member for the ICLE seminars, and, since 2000, he has been a speaker and moderator of national AILA seminars.
