OUR BUSINESS IS PEOPLE

Understanding and satisfying client needs are the top priorities at White & Weddle. “We are in the business of helping people,” says Joe White, named to the Super Lawyers® list. “Individualized attention is a must in every case we handle. In the end, we want the client fully satisfied.”

White & Weddle works on a contingent-fee basis. In this day and age, many insurance companies deny valid claims because they feel that with their money and power, they are above the law. With their unlimited financial resources, they have come to believe that “buying” an unjust result and thereby denying good people their rights is easily attained. Most people on the receiving end of this treatment cannot afford the $200+ per hour some lawyers may charge to help. As contingent-fee lawyers, the attorneys work without pay until justice is achieved. Only then do they get paid.

White adds that the entire staff of lawyers, paralegals, assistants and trusted outside consultants drive toward success together. “Our team has been together for years, which creates great chemistry. Clients appreciate that, and our results support our approach,” he says. “We are dealing with 21st-century jurors who don’t want to just hear you talk. We understand that and are completely tuned into computer software, animations and simulations that better tell a client’s story than just mere words.”

White & Weddle represents the largest teachers’ union in the state and has won numerous seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements in its civil practice. The firm has received Martindale-Hubbell®’s highest AV-rating and is listed in The Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

STELLAR LAWYER

A 1988 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, White is Oklahoma bred. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, American Association for Justice and Oklahoma Association for Justice, a fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, and he has been awarded membership in Outstanding Lawyers of America.

STAR ON THE RISE

A 2000 graduate of the Oklahoma City University Law School, Charles C. Weddle III is a partner of White & Weddle and also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, American Association for Justice and Oklahoma Association for Justice. His practice areas include personal injury and insurance bad faith.

A REPUTATION FOR TRYING LAWSUITS

The firm believes that preparing for trial is the only way to guarantee maximizing the client’s results. The firm stages mock trials when the size of the case demands it as a way of improving preparation, receiving critical feedback, reassuring clients, as well as putting them at ease prior to the actual trial. “We project a winning attitude from the very beginning,” says Weddle, named to the Rising Stars list. “Clients and referring attorneys know our reputation for going to trial, and seeing it through to conclusion. Defense teams know we assemble our team and will fully prepare every case in order to prevail.”

FAITH IN THE SYSTEM

The firm’s attorneys are not deterred by difficult cases. “When we expose a defective product that caused serious injury, handle the case of someone seriously injured by the acts of another, or tangle with an unresponsive insurance company, we know juries respond,” says White. “We trust the jury system. After all, a jury is the last recourse for powerless people against the powerful.”
