Mr. Birdwell is a native of Fort Worth and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (B.S., Chem. Eng., 1983) and the University of Houston Law Center (J.D., 1989). He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (since 1998, recertified 2003), licensed by the Texas Supreme Court, and admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas, Tarrant County Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and Texas Association of Defense Counsel.
