Terry W. Yates is recognized as one of the premier criminal defense lawyers in the United States. During his 18 years as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, Terry has won cases throughout the United States in both federal and state court. He and his clients have received national and international media coverage. Terry most recently prevailed in the defense of Texas Supreme Court Justice David Medina and in the trial of former New York Yankee Charlie Hayes. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Terry also holds positions at the University of Houston Law Center Criminal Justice Institute, The University of Texas Chancellor’s Council, and Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College and is part-time Judge for the City of West University Place, Texas.
